 Program Developer Rich Latimer
Rich Latimer: developer of the “Awareness Shows” programs was first discovered performing on Youtube & asked to be involved with one of the largest positive decision making educational programs in the USA, Every 15 Minutes, performing solo to over 4500 students on his first 2010 tour. He has since been asked to return each year! Rich has lived & experienced many of the issues in the show firsthand, & has assisted siblings through these issues as well. He works as a student support worker at Evans River High School where he has designed his own positive behaviour programs. Rich has worked at TAFE, UNI, & High School. He holds both an Education & Multimedia Degree along with a range of other certificates in instructional design. His passion is unfaltering & felt at each show!
Awareness Shows Team
Lesley Noakes: is the bookings, promotions & office manager. Dedicated to the development of this new program Lesley has been involved with the company since the beginning & shares a passion for this type of education. Her work in making initial contact with all the Schools in NSW, QLD and VIC has helped to make possible the launch of this edutainment program.
Nicky Garson: is responsible for the press, publicity, posters and other physical promotions for Awareness Shows. She is the primary contact for interviews & other press related enquiries.
Alex King: handles all online media & relationship management. Including promotions of the shows online & filtering communications received from students after the shows. Along with this role he is also the video editor & YouTube manager.
Sales Champions: there are a dedicated team of show consultants liasing with schools in NSW, VIC & QLD.
Guest Speakers: Jacie Latimer, Taylor Latimer, both Rich's younger brothers each had an impact on Rich's motivation for development of this program. Taylor being a miracle survivor of a Drink Driving crash & Jaice overcoming a 7 year battle with Heroin Addiction. Their stories and Rich's links in the show to them both are powerful elements of the shows.
Artists & Road Crew
VERY UNIQUE EXISTENCE - BAND MEMBERS
Rich Latimer (guitar/vocals) has been a performing artist for over 15 years. Seeing success over the last 5 years in the commercial music industry, with a range of career highlights both within the band & as a solo artist. Rich is committed to this program regardless of his other music industry pursuits. It was music that helped him get through some of these issues when he was going through school & he knows that it has the power to educate & shift attitudes & opinions along with entertaining.
Jesse Stanley (bass/vocals) is a dynamic young man whose life experiences and the variety of situations he has had to face & make positive choices regarding is a credit to his character and his involvement in this special program. A talented musician who also found music to be a huge support during difficult times at school, where he was bullied & isolated, leading to him leaving school early. He is proud that his musical skills can now be used to assist others experiencing these issues.
Adam Gardiner (drums) currently teaches High School Students drums & is an active member of his youth & church groups. He is continually involved in youth community events & fundraiser's. His family has dealt with serious issues of sibling depression. An accomplished performer now studying a bachelor of education, he is a powerful asset to the band & team.
ROAD CREW - GUEST PERFORMERS
Taylor Latimer (sound engineer/guest speaker-performer) Taylor survived the drink drive crash he was involved in; however has a residual brain injury. He has a powerful story to share with young people. Rich his older brother who designed “Awareness Shows” has brought him into the program to give him meaningful employment (as he was unable to finish high school) and to allow his story to impact and save lives! Taylor is also a talented musician who gives students who may also have come through something of this nature motivation to do something positive as a result.
Corey Bulley (chief sound engineer/show MC) Corey is a young man who had walked the edge of drug abuse for many years whilst in the commercial music industry. He understands how young people get started, involved and in some cases addicted to the drug culture. One of the best in his field, he has been the sound engineer for the band for many years & is motivated to see this program become a focus for the band.
Alex King (session musician) Alex a student who attended one of the shows, now not only runs the bands online profiles but is brought in as an assistant road crew and session performer in the band. A competent multi instrumentalist he is proof of this programs ability to reach youth & inspire change.
